Field Methods

Course description

This three-day course will review and provide participants with hands-on experience in a selection of common and novel techniques used to monitor and characterise groundwater systems and surface water-groundwater interactions. Short presentations and reading material will provide a theoretical background, after which the techniques will be applied in a series of informative, practical field trips.

Who should attend

The field methods school is a practical course intended for water industry professionals including field technicians, NRM boards, water utility operators, mining sector staff, ecologists, hydrographers, compliance officers, hydrogeologists and hydrologists who wish to further develop their fieldwork skills.
